Only massif above 4000m between the Mont-Blanc in France and the Dent Blanche in Switzerland, the Combin group is an impressive massif composed of three main summits, the Combin de Tsessette (4141m), the Combin de Valsorey (4184m), and the Combin de Grafeneire (or Grand Combin) (4314m). This photograph, taken from the Forcla lake in the Derbon valley, shows the north face of this massif, lit by an unexpected golden light at the end of a rainy day.
